Angus McAlpine and his father Scott McAlpine both grew up on Eureka Stud located on Queensland's Darling Downs.   Eureka was founded by Scott's grandfather in 1935 and remains under family management. Today, Scott is the stud manager and Angus is the assistant manager.

Angus has completed the Breeding Management Course at the Irish National Stud and has worked at various studs in the Hunter Valley and in Europe.
