The Expert | Barley Ward-Thomas
Barley Ward-Thomas is the stud manager of Darley Kelvinside in Aberdeen, New South Wales.
Born in England, Barley’s family were involved in jumps racing. They raced horses and his father was a steward.
Upon leaving school, Barley worked for Coolmore Ireland which gave him the opportunity to travel extensively in both hemispheres.
Barley moved to Australia in 1989 and has held senior positions at many of the leading farms in the Hunter Valley. He joined Godolphin in 2005.
